Avro VTOL Fighter Proposal US Navy 1956 (150 DPI)
Back by popular demand! A PDF of the Avro Canada VTOL Fighter proposal brochure of October 1956, an aircraft designed to fulfill US Navy specification TS-140. It was a compact flat-rising canard-type with two pairs of low aspect ratio unswept wings. A Bristol Orpheus jet engine was mounted on each wing tip, the vertical thrust being being produced by jet deflectors in the engine tailpipes. This PDF is packed with artwork and detailed drawings documenting this unusual VTOL fighter design in great detail.
