American Aerospace Archive Issues 1-5
This download includes PDF editions of the American Aerospace Archive magazine, issues 1 through 5 — 396 pages total! Save 16% buying these bundled PDFs here on Gumroad rather than individually on MagCloud. For extensive previews of each issue, please visit https://www.magcloud.com/browse/magazine/3628. Issue 1 reproduces a lavish promotional brochure from 1944 of the Martin JRM Mars Transport Airplane, a commercialized version of the world's largest production flying boat. Issue 2 covers the North American FJ-5 fighter, a proposal for a navalized derivative of the F-107A prepared for BuAer on July 6, 1955. Issue 3 examines proposals submitted to the Army Air Force heavy bombardment competition of 1946, which ultimately produced the legendary Boeing B-52. Issue 4 presents several little-known aspects of McDonnell naval fighter development in the early Cold War period. Finally, the oversized Issue 5 revisits the theme of early postwar strategic bomber development and introduces two new subjects: the USAF XC Heavy Transport and Parasite/Missile Carrier as well as selected Fighter-Conveyor (FICON) studies from the early 1950's. A great bundle of secret aircraft projects at a great price!
